A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade AbdulSalam Ashade, has emerged as one of the 2024 Mandela Washington Fellows to study a leadership programme in Public Management in the United States of America.
Ashade, who is contesting for the Executive Chairman in Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Badagry, said he wants to study a Leadership programme in Public Management at Boise State University, US to garner more knowledge on how to achieve good governance in his local government ahead of the 2025 Local Government election.
The leading aspirant said he would also be attending a summit at the Mandela Washington DC.
“The Mandela Washington Fellowship is the flagship programme of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI).
“This aims to strengthen democratic institutions and good governance, spur economic growth and prosperity, and enhance peace and security across Africa and the United States sponsored by the U.S. Department of State,” he said.
