Ahead of the President Federation Cup final, the coach of Naija Ratels, Bankole Olowookere, has said his team has a point to prove as they face off against Rivers Angels at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos on Saturday, June 29.
Speaking with Saturday Telegraph, the National U-17 women coach said they have been preparing so hard for the game and even though they are being looked at as underdogs, they are ready to go head-to-head with their more Illustrious opponent.
“We are going into the game with full determination,” he said.
“We have been going through the same preparations as we have been doing since the start of the competition and the regular season. The target is to take the trophy back to Abuja.
“We are seen as underdogs and that is how it is going to be. Rivers Angels has the record of winning the title eight times and we are playing our first final, but we are ready for the game.
“We have a point to prove, we are going to give our opponent the respect they deserve but we are not scared of them. We are not under any pressure to win against Rivers Angels, it is not going to be an easy game, but we are ready for the encounter.”
