Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has said that current agitations for the split of the country will not succeed.
Primate Ayodele, who spoke with journalists in Lagos on the state of the nation, however predicted that Nigeria will break up no matter efforts by politicians to sustain the country’s present structure.
Stressing that it is not yet time for the regions to go their separate ways, Prophet Ayodele said: “A lot of things will still change. Nigerians are suffering today but those calling disintegration should forget about it. When the time comes, there will be a referendum that will make people go their different ways.
The cleric, who will soon mark 30 years in prophetic ministry, recalled some of his predictions, but maintained that he is only a vessel of the Lord, and that he is not happy when some predicted tragedies are fulfilled.
He said the raging political crisis in Rivers State was ordained by God to expose and cripple the unacceptable works of a godfather.
He added that the loser will leave the state at the end. His words: “Nyesom Wike will serve President Bola Tinubu but he (Wike) will fight Tinubu. Wike is desperate, so Fubara should wake up.
He should be desperate like Wike. If not, Wike will take Rivers from him.” On the resolution of the crisis, he said: “This is not possible; let them continue to fight.
The loser will leave the state.” On the state of the nation, Primate Ayodele said Nigeria cannot witness a turnaround this year, stressing that there will still be suffering in 2025. The cleric said he has nothing against President Tinubu, who he said helped him at the early stage of his ministry.
“I cannot think badly of him (Tinubu) but this is the word of God. I told him that he will become president but they have no solution to the problems facing the nation. Even if Atiku Abubakar or Peter Obi were elected, we would have also suffered. “There are better options.
Why can’t everyone come out? Let us forget the politics of money. Atiku and Obi could have collaborated in 2023 but they were selfish,” he said. On the country’s security cha, Primate Ayodele advise the service chiefs bring what he described as “three towers” to end insurgency, banditry and kidnapping in Nigeria.
His words: “When they bring the ‘three towers,’ I will tell them what to do. I will tell them what the ‘three towers’ means and what to do with them. Insecurity in Nigeria is spiritual.” Primate Ayodele also took a look at what is happening in Kano Emirate and predicted that royalty crisis is not yet over in Nigeria.
According to him, “very soon, the crisis will spread to the South-West. Traditional institutions will be reduced to nothing. “All the Obas are under the local governments. The local government chairman can remove an Oba. A lot of things will be done to reduce the powers of traditional rulers.
The royalty crisis will soon come to the South-West.” On the Anambra governorship election holding next year, Primate Ayodele said that it will be difficult for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to win the state.
On the state of the Nigerian Church, Primate Ayodele said that the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and its affiliates, like the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (CAN) and other blocs, are playing politics. He said: “They are political. They are controlled by the state governors. They are not spiritual bodies. They do what the governments say.”
