Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has expressed satisfaction with the processes of the Local Government elections currently ongoing in the state.
Governor Fintiri made this remark while speaking in a brief interview with newsmen shortly after casting his ballot at unit 001 Kirshiga ward, Madagali Local Government Area of the state.
“I am grateful for the manner in which the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC) organised the election. The good people of the state are very happy and there is high participation in all the wards and polling units visited.
“The high spirits are a delight to see, new leaders will emerge from this process, and we give thanks to God, Governor Fintiri said.
Responding to public expectations for governance after the election, the Governor said the state should expect greater participation by young people and women.
He further stated that the government belongs to the people, and his administration will continue to nurture youths into good leaders. This, he said is his dream and will be delivered to the state.
Governor Fintiri announced that by the time his administration leaves office in 2027, it will produce vibrant leaders who can take over from him.
Speaking separately about the election process at Kirchinga ward, Mrs Munagur Kulba and Mr Bukar Joshua expressed their satisfaction with the process.
They called on the candidates who will emerge victorious to fulfil their campaign promises and do more for the electorate when they come into office.
