Renowned Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth has set tongues wagging on social media as he advocates for polygamy by citing Biblical examples.
Taking to his Instagram story, the comedian compared some Biblical characters who had one wife to those who married more than one wife.
According to Basketmouth, those who married one wife in the Bible lost their way at the end of the day and betrayed God.
On the other hand, the Bible characters that married more than one wife all found favour in the eyes of the Lord.
He then encouraged everyone to do with the information he provided what they please.
He said: “According to the Holy Bible, Ahab – 1 wife Herod – 1 wife Ananias-1 wife Pontius Pilate – 1 wife Jeroboam – 1 wife Nebuchadnezzar. – 1 wife Haaman – 1 wife Zakayo – 1 wife. And they all lost their way and betrayed God.
“Abraham -3 wives Jacob – 4 wives David – 4 wives Solomon – 700 wives and 300 concubines Rehoboam – 18 wives Abijah – 14 wives Elkanah – 2 wives Lemech-2 wives eygiwa And they all found favour in the eyes of the Lord.
