About four persons were reportedly killed while several others were critically wounded as #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest entered third day across the country.
Saturday Telegraph reports that hundreds of protesters gathered on several routes of Kano city as early as 7 am, carrying placards as part of their continuation on the ongoing Nationwide protests.
Reports by our Correspondent revealed that around Kurna Asabe, Jain and Brigade areas saw youths in their Hlhundreds moving out to continue their protest with heavily Armed Security Personnel.
Some unconfirmed reports, has it that as protesters tried to chased away Security operatives as they started throwing stones at the police provoking them to start fearing Canisters.
The State Police Commissioner, Salman Dogo Garba, confirmed that some youths hiding under a program organized by a politician names withheld at the Nasarawa palace of Emir Aminu Ado Bayero, throngs the City shouting different kind of Anti-Government songs.
He said, “it is true some group of people who took the advantage of a program organized by one politician took to the streets in continuation of their violent protests but we have suppressed them”.
Speaking on any casualties, he said, “I don’t have reports of any casualties”
Our Correspondent who went through Audu Bako Secretariat in an attempt to passed to the State NUJ Office situated at Firm Center was turned despite been identified himself as Journalist.
Similarly at the Ahmadu Bello way, armed policemen barricade the entire Road, refused our reporters access insisting that nobody will pass the place.
An officer who shouted on top of his voice, reminded them that there was curfew in the town and nobody will be allowed to go anywhere including the newsmen.
It would be recalled that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf imposed a 24 hour curfew following violence outings of the Protesters who went on rampage looting and setting public buildings ablaze.
