Veteran production designer, film director, and actor, Mr Olusegun Obadare-Akpata, is dead.
His family announced the demise of the celebrated thespian, in a statement signed by Adesuwa Isénérè, noting that he departed this life on Thursday, 1st August, at the age of 67.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Husband, Father and Grand-father, Mr. Olusegun Obadare-Akpata, who departed this life on Thursday, 1st August, at the age of 67.
“Obadare-Akpata was a true creative maven, whose remarkable talents as a production designer, film director, and actor left an indelible mark on the creative arts of Nigeria.
“His contributions to the industry and the lives he touched through his work will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him,” the statement read.
According to the statement, “Funeral arrangements will be announced by the family in due course. We ask that you keep his loved ones in your thoughts during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace.”
