Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, is looking to add a new midfielder to his squad this season.
According to Sky Sports, the Red Devils are still working on possible arrivals in midfield with talks continuing with Burnley over Sander Berge.
Dialogue also remains open with Monaco over Youssouf Fofana and there is still interest in Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte.
United would require Ugarte’s asking price to come down to consider going back to the negotiating table.
Richard Rios of Palmeiras remains a player of interest – but his fee could prove prohibitive.
Another option is Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat, who United had on loan last season.
