Legendary juju musician, Ebenezer Obey, was recently joined by other entertainers, such as Akpororo, Woli Agba, Bidemi Olaoba and Yinka Alaseyori, to engage and entertain youths at a street concert in Alagbado, Lagos.
Tagged ‘One Jesus, One Church, One Halleluyah Street Concert’, it kicked off with a boxing bout, which was well attended by residents of the area and visitors. After the competition, the winners were presented with gold, silver and bronze medals; as well as a belt and cash to the champion. Some of them were also given scholarships.
In his speech at the event, a gospel singer and the organiser of the event, Testimony Jaga, thanked the founder of Christ Embassy, Chris Oyakhilome, for discovering his potential supporting him over the years. He also reiterated his intention to always give back to society, as a way of encouraging and supporting the underprivileged.
Obey proved that he is indeed an evergreen musician as both young and old people were able to relate with his music. This was even as comedians, Akpororo, Woli Arole and others sent the crowd reeling in laughter.
Gifts such as tricycles, grinding machines, fridges and generators were also given to lucky residents. This was in addition to feeding several children at the event and giving them exercise books, pens and other writing materials.
Other entertainers at the event were Chigozie Wisdom and Skillful Dancers.
A popular cleric, Israel Ogundipe of Genesis Global Church, was also at the programme.
