The people of Isi-Uzo Council of Enugu State, comprising political, religious, traditional, and community leaders, have expressed immense gratitude to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his exemplary leadership in restoring peace and security to Eha-Amufu.
The people said that Ugwuanyi’s intervention in Eha-Amufu crisis was responsible for peace, which the community is currently enjoying. They disclosed that after the emergency peace and security meeting, which the governor had with Eha-Amufu stakeholders, there have not been any further attacks in the area.
They reassured the governor of their overwhelming support and votes for all Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates in the state, including the party’s governorship candidate, Dr. Peter Mbah.
The people made the remarks, yesterday, Ugwuanyi visited Ikem, the council headquarters, to identify with them and ascertain how they are faring.
Welcoming the governor, the Council Chairman, Obiora Obeagu, stated that the five old communities and 21 autonomous communities in Isi-Uzo Council were grateful that “today our governor has brought peace to us,” revealing that “today Eha-Amufu is back on its feet.”
