President Bola Tinubu has left Lagos for Abuja, where he is expected to commission the inauguration of projects executed by the Federal Capital Territory Administration.
Among other projects due for unveiling in the nation’s capital, Tinubu will oversee the commissioning of the southern Parkway from Christian Centre to Ring Road One.
The President departed the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at 11:43 am.
He was sent-off by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and other government functionaries.
While in Lagos, Tinubu initiated the official commencement of construction for the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, a 700-kilometre project aimed at boosting economic growth and development in rural communities.
Also, he inaugurated the reconstructed Apapa-Oworonshoki-Ojota Expressway, the rehabilitated Third Mainland Bridge, and virtually launched the rehabilitation of 330 roads and bridges nationwide.
President Tinubu will mark one year anniversary in office tomorrow Wednesday, 29th May, 2024, amidst some unfavourable policies introduced by his government.
He will also address the joint National Assembly on Wednesday.
